Here's your chance to own a FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Hamilton Electric Atlantis watch. Pictured in Rene Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on page 176, it was released in October 1958 with an original price of $110.00. It is quadruple signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day, and has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position.
The Atlantis is a surprisingly scarce Hamilton Electric, with an estimated production of only about 2,200. This is a first year model with movement serial number 85395L. The ORIGINAL DIAL is in excellent shape, and the dial pattern is very unique with an embossed pattern of fine concentric circles, a unique 12 o'clock marker, and markers at 1,3,5,7,9, and 11 that seem to match the lugs of the watch. I have seen few dials in this fine shape. This would make a fine addition to a Hamilton Electric collection.
