Here's your chance to own a FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) 14K Solid Gold Hamilton Electric Spectra watch. Pictured in Rene Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on pages 157-158, it was released in July of 1957 with an original price of $150.00. It is six times signed on the dial, case, movement, band, buckle, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day, and has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position.
This is a great looking Spectra with the unique addition of a Saturn Dial. The Spectra was the third watch in the Electric series, following the Ventura and Van Horn. It has a great asymmetric touch, in that the case is broader and thicker at the 12 position. The later version of this watch was the Saturn, which was gold filled, but had one of the most unique dials of any of the electrics. The addition of the Saturn dial makes this watch stunning. If the purchaser desires an original Spectra dial, a very nice champagne color example can be substituted. Don't let this one get away.
