Hamilton Electric Nautilus 600 Uncatalogued Variant Watch
Offered is this FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Hamilton Electric Nautilus 600 watch. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on page 185, it was released in December of 1962 with an original price of $110.00. It is signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day and has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position. It has the ORIGINAL FINISH DIAL and shows NO BRASSING anywhere on the case. It has just had a NEW OLD STOCK D-PIN installed in the balance, so it will run virtually as it did from the factory.
This version of the Nautilus 600 was never cataloged. The dial is identical to the Stainless Steel Nautilus 500, using gold tone markers and chapter ring, and gold tone hands rather than the silver tone on the Nautilus 500 dial. This variation was featured in print ads only, as can be seen in the last photo.
