Hamilton Electric Altair Watch Original Silver Dial
Offered is a FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Hamilton Electric Altair watch. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on pages 130-133, it was released in December 1961 with an original price of $125.00 (metal band) and $110.00 (leather strap). It is signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day and has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position. As a plus, it has had a BRAND NEW OLD STOCK D-PIN installed in the balance, so it will run virtually as it did from the factory.
The Altair is probably the most coveted of all the Hamilton Electrics among collectors. It had a very small production run of around 1600, so it is also quite rare.
