Austin Automatic Skin Diver With Unique Countdown Bezel
This is a great looking Austin Automatic Skin Diver that winds, sets, and runs great. It keeps excellent time. The rotating bezel is very unique in that it counts the minutes down rather than up. This is a feature rarely seen on a dive watch. Rather than setting the bezel zero marker to the minute hand before a dive and counting minutes underwater, the diver would decide how many minutes to dive and set that bezel number (15 minutes, for example) to match the minute hand. When the minute hand reached zero on the bezel, it would be time to surface. The automatic feature works well, as does the date feature. It is a nice large size and has a great vintage look. It would make a great addition to a dive watch collection with this unique feature.
