Hamilton Electric Vega Watch
Offered is this FULLY SERVICED (ultrasonic wash, rinse, and lubrication) Hamilton Electric Vega watch. Pictured in René Rondeau's book "The Watch Of The Future" on page 163, it was released in June, 1961 with an original price of $110.00. It is signed on the dial, case, movement, and crown. It runs great and keeps time to well under 30 seconds variation per day and has a brand new battery just installed. The hack function works properly, and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed in from the setting position to the running position.
The Vega is a scarce model, with only a two year production life. The trapezoid shaped case, with cross-hatched motif on the lugs sweeping through the dial and into the lugs is classic Richard Arbib design. It would make a great addition to a Hamilton Electric collection. It has just had a NEW OLD STOCK D-PIN installed in the balance, so it will run virtually as it did from the factory.
