Lord Elgin Electronic 725 Watch
Offered is this very rare Lord Elgin 725 Electronic watch. Hamilton felt it's main competition to release the first battery powered watch was going to be from Elgin. Elgin announced their Electric watch in 1952, nearly 10 years before it was released. They were plagued with prototype problems, and did not release the watch for nearly 10 years after the announcement. It was done in a limited quantity in a single city, Chicago. The release was a failure, and Elgin quietly removed the watches from the market and destroyed them. Remaining examples of this watch are very rare.
